Description

I have written an article for KG about this deck here

This deck is my second attempt at my much beloved mono purple, here is version 1. The description holds the same. The difference here is that this deck goes very light on removal, and doesnt ever want to lose the board. As always, face is the place, prioritise tempo over card advantage, and maximise face damage. I have taken this deck to champion rank at 32-15 (68% wr).

Impel PP 2.0 is the version of this deck that utilises impel.

Mono purple has some problems that i hope will be solved with the new expansion. First, lack of diversity in the top end makes the deck feel hard countered by seal on a terragon, also lantern colossus is too expensive and does too little. Second, not enough good 3 drops makes me play shinobi of fire eventhough it doesnt make much sense in a midrange deck. Third, this deck needs a second simuzen like 1 drop (well stated 1 drop that generates discard fodder, not steam bun). Fourth, the lack of finishers like volition, horn, or even dire benediction makes mono purple very difficult to build, in this deck I rely on smite for a lot of the dmage output. The tradeoff is not being able to play impel along with shinobi of smoke, but I believe this is the corrext approach with the current card set.
