Description

This is a 2v2 spell-based deck that benefits from MORE. More creatures are in play? Play Leshy and clear the rest. More creatures and spells in boneyards? BA and Artillery are killing it. More mana and and gems to spend? Feed it into an the VF/Seawitch/Sovereign engines. More spells gets you more draw gets you more spells gets you more damage? Sounds like you won.

Card Reasoning:

  • Ice Spike - great early removal or mid/late delay
  • Norn Datacore - lots of minions die in 2v2, and you could use the extra mana for more late game spells or feeding into Ved'ma or Sovereign
  • Bragi's Ballad - draw and cycle is very welcome, while the deck has many answers, you don't need ALL of them ALL of the time
  • Bragi Runesinger - provides cycle, Frenzy to giant Leshy's and BA, and lets you draw your 3 enchantments
  • Rune of Denial - can get great value, but even applying 1 of its effects can be worth since Mirror gets you a second one anyway
  • Thunderclap - solid enemy board sweep
  • Magnus Thorsson - 1 more mana to gets you a 3/3 with your Thunderclap
  • AllFather's Horn - huge burst damage in the late game. Turn 10 lets you play Academy Recruitment into Horn. This refreshes your pool to go all out for Spellflux Cannon
  • Anhelli - solid hard removal. Very satisfying when used on a low mana cost guy with several buffs
  • Media Autocam - more spells gets you more cards
  • Detained - 2 spells in 1, gives a lot of delay and strategic options
  • Spellflux Cauldron - attack power engine for all of your weak creatures. Most of your wins will largely be due to this artifact
  • Ved'ma Flamespar - provides a damage engine for excess mana to feed into. Use it on creatures across the board and faces
  • Academy Recruitment - a spell that gets you more bodies for cauldron buffs
  • Bela, Witch Queen - only time where less (mana cost reduction for spells) is more (spells that can be played). Able to delay with stuns as well. I've never branded, but seems like it would be cool.
  • Led Astray - good early removal. Can be combo'd with Detained or Serenity Seawitch.
  • Leshy - this guy has nothing to do with spells and everything to do with just how many minions end up on the board in 2v2. Take him out if you want to be a spell purist, but the value I get is usually over 9000.
  • Serenity Seawitch - good crystal engine and delay, makes Led Astray even better. Don't forget to help your ally trade better into his enemy.
  • Bald Mountain - basically turns a creature into a spell tutor, squeezing all the value out
  • Boneyard Abomination - similar to Leshy, there just ends up being a lot of dead creatures in 2v2.
  • The Invisible City - this needs to be cast in the shared lane for both you and your ally to draw
  • Sovereign Architect - don't underestimate the 2/2 agile creature engine that basically guarantees value for Cauldron
  • Automagic Artillery - this demands a response from your opponents, otherwise it's blowing chunks off their health total
  • The Recursionist - ideally you want to play this and Deport it before the end of the turn, but I'll play it with a Thunderclap or Bragi's Ballad even if I end up losing it

Other Considerations:

  • If you can really coordinate with your ally, add 2 x Cataclysm for big removal. This deck-list assumes pub queue, but feel free to replace some weaker cards in favor of a table flip.
  • The Academy Analyst feels like it should be in here, but I couldn't fit it. If you find any cards that aren't working for you, consider adding Divination and spell cost reduction.

Final Thoughts: The deck has a lot of options, and because of that it can feel too spread out. You can probably split off an idea and make a much more focused deck out of it, but for public queue I found that I needed to take control of the whole board without relying too much on my ally to coordinate.
